Happy HolidaysFrom all of us at the Eagleson Institute, we wish you a safe and happy holiday season! Please click here to view your holiday card from us. 2010 has been an exciting year, and we have even more to look forward to next year. We hope you can take some time to enjoy our second annual newsletter to find out what we have been up to, what is coming up, and to participate in a couple of contests for a chance to win LL Bean Gift Cards. |
EI Going Green! As the Eagleson Institute continues to find ways to reduce our carbon footprint, the 2011 Catalog will not be printed this year, saving approximately 165,000 sheets (33 Cases) of 8.5" x 11" paper! After printing and mailing catalogs from 1991 to 2010, we have decided a better alternative would be to put our 2011 catalog online. We will be sending a notice when the 2011 Catalog is ready to view. We will also have a survey available on the catalog webpage which we encourage everyone to participate in. |
New Programs for 2011We have two new reasons for our students to visit us in Maine next spring. In March we will be offering classes in “Certification of Sterile Compounding Facilities and Aseptic Isolators” for compliance with USP Chapter <797> and the NIOSH alert, being led by Jim Wagner. In May, we will be presenting “Verifying BLS3 Performance: From Commissioning to Certification.” This class, being developed by Dan Frasier and Paul Jeanette, will provide the practical information needed to operate and test ABSL3 and BSL3 facility performance. In addition, look for upcoming information on conferences in Scottsdale, Arizona and San Diego, California. We have made it possible for people to attend both the NIH OBA Shaping IBCs in an Evolving Research Landscape conference and the CDC/Griffin/Eagleson Occupational Health Colloquium by scheduling them both at the Loew’s Coronado Resort in San Diego during the same week in June. |
2010 HighlightsCDC Symposium…BSL3 Seminar Series…1st CDC/Griffin Foundation/Eagleson Occupational Health Colloquium…special classes for students from Former Soviet Union and African countries…classes in Nairobi Kenya and Vladimir Russia…16 classes in Maine…We have had a fabulous year! Thank you to all our partners and participants! In just one short year, we have had a great turn out from around the globe. We are anxious to continue this new tradition as our outreach continues to span across the globe!
