BIOGRAPHY
Evelyn Wright-Lewis, RN, EMSN, COHN-S, is the Occupational Health Coordinator at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). As a certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist, she oversees UTHSC’s occupational health services, including the BSL-3 facility.

In addition to her leadership at UTHSC, Evelyn provides expert consultation on occupational health services to collaborating academic institutions. Her work focuses on optimizing surveillance programs, ensuring thorough assessments and screenings, promoting a safe work environment, and mitigating risks.

Evelyn is engaged with the research community and actively contributes to fostering safety and compliance. She serves as a dedicated member of both the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).
